This project is the renovation of the emblematic interior design made by the well-known architect Juli Capella for the Silken Hotel almost 20 years ago. The new design, branded as The Gates Hotel and recently carried out by Carmen Koller in collaboration with Betarq and The Light Squad Studio, gives a much more modern image to one of the best located hotels in Barcelona.

Located on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona, next to the Agbar Tower and next to the Plaza de les Glòries Catalanes, it is a hotel that greatly enhances the quality of the views that can always be enjoyed from the spectacular terrace located on the penthouse.

The lighting concept is based on establishing different focal points along the long and diaphanous floor plan, to highlight each of the volumes that configure it and thus guide the user through the space.

Through the strategic use of light integrated into the architecture we were able to reinforce and define the organic nature of the interior design, and turn the place into a dynamic and luminous space, with comfortable and convenient lighting for the hotel users.
