Exploiting the materiality of space.
Bank Degroof Petercam
Bank Degroof Petercam wanted a space where its customers would feel at home. That was the starting point for the concept of its new Headquarter in Madrid.
These 650m2 offices are located in a 1972 building designed by the well-known architect Rafael de la Hoz. The architecture and interior design project, by Grup Idea, proposes a strategic duality to differentiate and define the spaces on the ground floor.
The client’s space, in which wood paneling, stone-colored carpeting in dégradée, and colored elements in the upholstered furniture have been used. The lighting in these spaces has been designed to focus on the work surfaces and to highlight specific elements of the space. Decorative light fixtures have been incorporated in the areas where customers wait to be served.
